Text Layout Item Properties

Select only one item on the page to view and edit item specific properties. Editing item specific properties on Multiple item selections are not allowed.
The text item is typically used for labels and other text on the page that does not depend on values from the database.
Use the enter key when setting the 'Text' property to create multiline text.
Do not link a text item to the database.
If another type of item should be used instead of the initial item created (text box should really be text area for example) simply change the item type at the top of the property window.

Options

  1. Item type drop down list (top of property page): Allows changing this item to a different item type.
  2. Text Color
  3. Background Color
  4. Font Family
    1. helvetica (arial)
    2. courier
    3. times (serif)
  5. Font Weight
    1. normal
    2. bold
  6. Special Type
    1. page number: Shows the page number. Typically used on pages with a grid to show the page number for automatically generated repeat pages.
    2. page total: Shows the total number of pages. Typically used on pages with a grid to show the page of total number for automatically generated repeat pages.
  7. Text: Determines the text displayed in the text item. Use the enter key to create multiline text.
